Description (partial)

Symptom:
version 6.2(9a) Gen 4 DS-X9248-256K9 Port allowed for manual 10g speed. when its capability is not 10g (The port is only 8gb capable)

port config manaully allowed for 10g speed for a 8g capable port.

conf t
interface fc6/47
switchport speed 10000

9513-01(config-if)# show run int fc6/47

interface fc6/47
  switchport speed 10000

Conditions:
in Gen 4 Module , In a port-group of 37 thru 48.

port number 37,38,39 45,47,48 are not capable of 10g speed but 8gb max.

#show int fc6/47 capabilities
fc6/47
 Min Speed is 1 Gbps
 Max Speed is 8 Gbps

However manual attempt allows to configure 10g speed. we should expect an error to be generated for user that this particular port (and port number 37,38,39 45,47,48 in particular port-group range) is not capable of 10g speed.
