Last Modified

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

5.1.3.K9SEC

Description (partial)

Symptom:
We have upgraded 4 of our ASR 9006's this evening to IOS-XR 5.1.3. After the upgrade has been complete we are receiving random disconnects on our SSH sessions when running commands. We are using Putty as our client from a Windows box and the error from putty is "Disconnected: Received unsolicited SSH_MGS_CHANNEL_FAILURE. "

This did not happen previously and only affects our sessions connecting to our IOS-XR 5.1.3 based ASR 9006's.

Conditions:
The issue is easy to reproduce and the best method is to run the command "show log last 250" for example.
The issue is only seen on ASR9K/5.1.3 with CSCus22641 or without CSCus22641.
5.2.2 and 4.3.4 have no such issue.
The issue is not seen if using other SSH client, for example SecureCRT, or Unix box.
