Cisco Bug: CSCus93974 - NVE peer is not learned later, if the NVE peer delete happens LC ISSU
Feb 22, 2017
- Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
This defect is not applicable to current GBR release since vxlan configs were not a part of the previous release which is freetown. Hence there is no issue on issu. Symptom: There exists an issue with vxlan peer learning on ISSU from gbr to gbr upgrade. When a line card upgrade is in progress and the SUP is already up and ready to learn peers, line card components reject a peer-add and we end up having inconsistent peer information in PI components and line card which causes an issue when the peer needs to be re-learned. This issue is not currently applicable to gbr since freetown -> gbr ISSU will not suffer from this because vxlan wil be first introduced in gbr. Conditions: Occurs only during ISSU.
