Cisco Bug: CSCus91423 - Incorrect port sent by CCM for early offer causes one way audio

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.5(1.10000.9) 10.5(2.10000.5) 8.5(1.10000.26) 9.1(2.10000.11)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In the following call flow the egress SIP Trunk uses early offer
SCCP IP Phone--- CUCM ---SIP--- CUC (IVR)
The Caller (SCCP IP Phone) selects IVR menu option ---> REFER to external phone number
Final call flow is:
SCCP IP Phone --- CUCM ---SIP--- GW ---ISDN--- PSTN

The SCCP phone does not get audio after the redirect.

CCM is sending a new Invite after the refer with the port that was received in the port response for the initial call setup. CUCM then sends an ORC to the phone & the phone responds with a new port. Once it gets the new port number from the phone, SIP signaling does not update or re-invite using the new port. Therefore, audio is never connected bidirectionally between the phone and the ISDN GW after the REFER.

Conditions:
The egress SIP trunk uses early offer.
