Last Modified

Jan 30, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 5000 Series

Known Affected Releases

17.1.0

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A session manager task crash was observed because a forceful assertion got fired.

Conditions:
SOFTWARE: 17.1.0 (58241)

EGTP tries to abort the low priority transactions, where current pending transaction is on higher priority than the new one. This happens when MME forces the UE to idle mode by starting IM-ENTRY procedure without aborting any running PDN procedures (here, the pending procedure is DDN), whenever 4G to 3G handover gets aborted.
