Symptom: UCS Mini running 3.0(1c) firmware version. The FI/IOM will crash due to a kernel panic that appears to be caused by an issue dereferencing a NULL pointer. To check to see if the FI/IOM crashed due to a panic, check the system reset reason. `show system reset-reason` ----- reset reason for Supervisor-module 1 (from Supervisor in slot 1) --- 1) At 932290 usecs after Fri Mar 4 03:43:51 2011 Reason: Kernel Panic <---------- Service: Version: 5.0(3)N2(3.01d) To determine if you are running into this particular issue, you will need to review the last kernel messages. Conditions: UCS Mini environment running 3.0(1c) code.
