unable to view interface queue charts from data explorer

While reports on interface queues correctly produce graphs which can be viewed, the data explorer fails to produce any data and will give the error: "Chart data is empty" for all measurements and date ranges.  The workaround is to run a report on the same data and date range.  Reproduced on two data sets by using newly inserted xxxxx and xxxxx plan files from 2014.  Build: v6.1rc2-13-g43eaf13    6.0 was not tested.  See screenshots.
