Cisco Bug: CSCus80623 - UCSM exclude hard disk firmware from firmware policy
May 30, 2017
- Cisco Unified Computing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: UCS managed hard drive firmware can be both upgraded and downgraded. Downgrading hard drive firmware can cause complications and result in an unrecoverable drive. Additionally, HDD firmware upgrades are part of a one-click update all functionality within host firmware packages, which can increase chance of accidental unnoticed downgrade of hard drive. Conditions: Applying a host firmware package which contains a lower hard drive firmware than is currently on the drive.
