Cisco Bug: CSCus71142 - [WSON] UNI If: wrong remote node id / signaling address in DCL/I3

Last Modified

Jun 20, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco ONS 15454 Series Multiservice Provisioning Platforms

Known Affected Releases

10.30

Description (partial)

Symptom:
If different addresses are configured for Remote System IP and Remote Communication Channel, UNI circuit activation fails.

Conditions:
When different IPv4 addresses are configured the two values are incorrectly registered in the GMPLS stack, causing the RSVP signaling failure.

Note: a configuration with different addresses requires that the remote UNI-C node correctly sends the RSVP packets with source address equal to the Remote Communication Channel IP address; the current XR implementation always use the local router id, so the two address must be equal.
