Jabber  for Mac 10.6 unexpectedly starts in phone only mode...there is no presence or contacts related functionality available.

This occurs when the webex CAS server lookup previously failed, eg due to server side issue or local network connectivity problem. In this case, Jabber falls back to using CUCM as primary authenticator and Jabber starts in Phone only mode.
