Cisco Bug: CSCus63512 - interfaces report empty with null type and explorer types selected

Last Modified

  • Cisco MATE Live

Known Affected Releases

6.0.4 6.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
interfaces report empty with null type and explorer types selected

Conditions:
The Cox data set has null types. The data explorer can see these interfaces if either the type is set to unknown or all types are unset. The problem is that the explorer will show plenty of objects, yet the report may be empty as it filters differently than the explorer. It appears that if the type is explicitly set to Unknown, the data explorer generated query has an appended "or type is null." This does not occur when the report is run and hence the output is inconsistent.. For example, try choosing all interfaces whose capacity > 10000, or whose name matches ash. Also, select all types by default. The explorer will show plenty of matches, but no report based upon that selection will show any results: an empty report is produced. The workaround is to have all interface types de-selected. Not a regression - also fails in 5.4, 6.0.
