Description (partial)

Symptom:
During this issue, the following IFCC (Interface Control Check) errors may be seen on the host (i.e. Mainframe) 
for the CUP devices:

N 4040000 SYSA     15010 01:48:19.21          00000090  IOS050I CHANNEL DETECTED ERROR ON 0FF1,AA,31,**02,PCHID=0520        
N 4040000 SYSB     15010 01:48:19.31          00000090  IOS050I CHANNEL DETECTED ERROR ON 0FFF2,BB,31,**02,PCHID=01D0        
N 4040000 SYSC     15010 04:14:15.13          00000090  IOS050I CHANNEL DETECTED ERROR ON 0FF3,CC,31,**02,PCHID=0500

These errors will directly map to Protocol TimeOut events for command 0x32 seen in 
'show ficon control-device internal event-history errors' log:

Conditions:
This problem can occur when there are two or more FICON VSANs, each with the CUP device online to the same sysplex (same time), and one VSAN must have a multi-member FC port-channel defined and operational.
