Cisco Bug: CSCus62792 - Clock class incorrect if PTP is configured after netsync config removal
Dec 18, 2016
- Cisco ASR 920 Series Aggregation Services Router
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Sometime if we have configured a synce source and then later we remove it the DPLL0 goes to holdover. Due to this when we configure PTP master it assumes the holdover clock class (14). In few of the script few test cases configure synce and later removes it. If we have PTP only test case coming after such cases it might assume a wrong DPLL0 state. This DPLL state can either go to a locked state (if we give a valid source) or remain in holdover. This holdover state would go away only after reboot/reinit. Conditions: Configure SyncE source ==> Remove SyncE source. ==> configure PTP master.
