Cisco Bug: CSCus51897 - log file locations should be parameterized to be under CARIDEN_ROOT

Last Modified

Mar 04, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco MATE Live

Known Affected Releases

6.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
log file locations should be parameterized to be under CARIDEN_ROOT

Conditions:
Log files, such as mate_live.log should optionally be allowed to be moved to $CARIDEN_ROOT/logs. This is currently true of many other MATE products. Just grep for CARIDEN_ROOT in `find . -name log4j.properties`. This is more than a MATE Live problem, but other groups have, or are currently fixing this problem. I was told by field people that this is a bug, not a feature request, and must be done for 6.1.

From Alex (only partial - full text in an attachment):
These are the files that and lines that need to change to move logs outside the package directory.

thanks!
