May 29, 2018
- Cisco Aironet 3700 Series Access Points
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Wireless users on a particular channel will find themselves unable, or barely able, to communicate. Channel duty cycle is seen to be near 100%. OTA capture finds that an AP is sending RTS frames to a client at ~ 8000pps, which client is no longer active. This RTS flood will persist for about one hour. Conditions: The wireless client to whom the AP is sending the RTS flood is no longer there. It had been in the middle of a large data transfer when it shut down (or disabled its interface, or left the building.) The WLAN is set with a high user idle timeout value, one hour or longer.
