Cisco Bug: CSCus38550 - Assertion Failure at sess/egtp/egtpc/egtpc_db.c:750
Dec 25, 2016
- Cisco ASR 5000 Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Assertion failure leading to session manager restart with the following signature: Function: egtpc_allocate_ueid_rec() Expression: status == SN_STATUS_FAILURE Conditions: This is a case of session recovery where the recovered subscriber's initial id type is imsi. However, it is not a valid one (all zeros). The DB record has a valid IMEI. This can happen if a checkpointing happens when a DB record has a valid IMEI and the UE context has a valid imsi, and then there is a session manager crash. Now, when can the above happen is unknown, a code browsing indicates that db record is always kept in sync with UE context.
