Symptom:
This product includes a version of NTPd that is affected by the vulnerability identified by the Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) IDs:

CVE-2014-9293 CVE-2014-9294 CVE-2014-9295 CVE-2014-9296

Conditions:
MXE3500 version 3.3.0; 3.3.1 & 3.3.2 are affected.

The minimum configuration to enable NTPd service on this product:

server <ntp server ip>

All security updates including openssh, openssl, apache are handled in v3.5.
The patch for this defect also addresses v3.5.
For customers using 3.3, we recommend them to upgrade to v3.5
