Cisco Bug: CSCus25923 - Sessmgr process restarts due to heart beat miss.
Feb 27, 2017
- Cisco ASR 5000 Series
Known Affected Releases
sessmgr crash Symptom: Sessmgr process restarts. Conditions: This issue is seen only in local abort cases because after issuing local abort, sessmgr will clear subscriber CLP (callid X) without waiting for Gx response, Gx still will have the session information till it gets CCA-T or Tx timeout. If sessmgr allocates same callid (X) for a new subscriber (this happens only at full load) and tries to send CCR_I to PCRF. PCEF/Gx will check for the callid (X) and tries to delete the old session information. Since CCA_T didn't come, deletion won't happen and goes into infinite loop (transaction deletion happens in a loop). Heart beat misses to the sessmgr proclet and hence crashes with signal 6.
