Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco WebEx Meetings Server

Known Affected Releases

2.5.1.29

Description (partial)

Symptom:
- Phone number is malformed & invalid when imported with auto-create account using SSO.
we have department, city, state and an internal 4 digit phone number all syncing correctly from our LDAP to the CWMS user profile via SSO. We are able to sync a 4 digit internal phone numbers to the WebEx user profile. However, when we attempt to use the synced 4 digit number in the WebEx Client Software, we find that the number is malformed. It does not match the data stored in the CWMS user profile. This is a bug with phone numbers that are synced into the CWMS user profile through SSO. When the phone number is manually entered and stored in the CWMS user profile, the phone number is correctly rendered and can be used within the WebEx Client Software.

Conditions:
- CWMS 2.5
Accounts are created automatically when a user first attempts to authenticate with the system. A user authenticates for the first time when they try to use Productivity Tools or navigate to the meeting page. SSO creates accounts in WebEx through an agreement with our MS ADFS server. We don't add users to the system when SSO is used. SSO uses automatic account creation. The account is created on demand when the user attempts to login.

SSO doesn't leverage CUCM for accounts or authentication like LDAP does. CUCM is only used for call control when SSO is implemented
