Description (partial)

The issue is seen when unsupported character, e.g. ꕂ, is entered as a contact group name in Jabber. It is stored in generic table, value column, which type is lvatchar(32000). The entered string is stored correctly, and select query runs with no errors. However, our code selects length(value) and this operation fails with error: 202: An illegal character has been found in the statement. This results in not being able to rename or remove groups from Jabber. Additionally, once Jabber is signed out and signed in again, no contact groups are seen.
