Cisco Bug: CSCus16590 - ASR 9K SIP-700 filter VPLS Inner vlan padding and Trailer
Feb 04, 2017
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom:Reduced byte of packets are being sent out of ASR9K THOR LC, in place of original packet size. i.e for example when we send packet with 1500 Bytes and the length override field is set as 20, we will see around 50 Bytes(20 Bytes data + headers) of data going out of thor instead of the expected 1500 bytes. Issue is seen only when we have l2vpn configuration and the length override field is Set (in ixia). Conditions:It is specific to thor LC in asr9k and could be seen only when we set the IPV4 header length override field. Observed in Lab scenario while testing using Traffic generator (like Ixia), with IPv4 header length override field filled. May not be seen vastly in usual deployed network.
