Cisco Bug: CSCus13386 - ASDM: Special characters should not be allowed for Usernames.
Nov 10, 2016
- Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: If you create an Username with either a 'name' or 'password' containing a special character ( like any accented character, as /e/ carrying an acute accent, which are pretty common on French language ), the ASDM is going to accept it but the ASA is not going to store it correctly, and then it cannot be used to log in to the ASA. Conditions: none
