Description (partial)

Symptom:
In Catalyst 6500/6800 platforms, when xconnect is down all the L2 control-plane traffic (that should be sent over xconnect) is sent to CPU resulting in high CPU condition.

Conditions:
Issue is seen in Catalyst 6500/6800 platforms running 15.X SY releases.
