Description (partial)

Customer configured Cisco DCNM 6.2(5) with "EMC Callhome" to send email notifications of fabric events and to also open EMC SR's where appropriate via SYR. MDS switches were configured with SNMP v.3 host for trap destination. However upon testing it was found that DCNM wasn't processing the test traps.
Customer ran a wire shark trace , and noted SNMP packages coming in with the test command
-test pfm snmp
-test-trap fan
But DCNM dropped all of them.

For one switch, customer removed the SNMP v3 host, and reconfigured with v2. After running the same test command, customer received an email from DCNM , EMC also received a dial home and an EMC SR.
From the DCNM config guide we noted Cisco DCNM Web Client forwards fabric events through e-mail or SNMPv1 traps, we got information from Cisco that SNMPv3 is not supported with SNMP trap management. SNMPv3 can be used as now for switch management. For CallHome and any other SNMP trap forwarding we now need to use SNMPv2.
Would it also be possible for Cisco to support SNMPv3 for CallHome and any other SNMP trap forwarding
