Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 5000 Series

Known Affected Releases

17.1.0.58122

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Single instance of assertion failure in function sgwdrv_update_session_stat() during longevity run.

Conditions:
Based on dev analysis, following scenario results in above assertion:
1) The call is undergoing gngp ho from SGSN to S4-SGSN on S12 interface
2) While the call and the pdn is in connecting state, s1 error indication is received
3) The current logic of setting pdn->spec_disc_reason results in wrong value being set in this case
4) The wrong value of pdn->spec_disc_reason results in it being interpreted as pdn setup stat (as again pdn rejection stat).
Since, there is no such value to be handled for pdn setup stat, the default handler of generating crash is generating the mentioned core
