Cisco Bug: CSCur99257 - External logging to syslog server doesn't work on TC 7.2.x version

Last Modified

Feb 18, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco Telepresence Integrator C Series

Known Affected Releases

7.2.x

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Was able to reproduce it in the lab with SX20 endpoint running TC7.2.1 software version. Syslog server simulated on the lab PC is on the same network as the codec. It works in TC 7.1.1 so the UDP 514 seems to be correctly configured on codec. It is when upgrading to TC7.2.x that logs are not available anymore.
Packet traces show that endpoint never sends out syslog messages to the external syslog server on TC7.2.x version.

Conditions:
This happens after upgrading to TC7.2.x version. Does not show the symptoms if on earlier versions.
