Cisco Bug: CSCur92742 - Conflicting inherited and per-instance config should be rejected

Last Modified

Jul 30, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

5.3.0.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
LISP per-EID table inherited configuration may conflict with per EID instance configuration for the following configuration:

itr map-resolver
etr map-server
use-petr

Configuring 'itr map-resolver ...' in conjunction with 'itr map-resolver disable' in the same 'eid-table' stanza is contradictory and a misconfiguration. The process should fail to accept this configuration, yet it does.

Conditions:
The issue exists in the following circumstances:

'itr map-resolver disable' and 'itr map-resolver ...' are configured concurrently under the same 'eid-table' stanza.

'etr map-server disable' and 'etr map-server ...' are configured concurrently under the same 'eid-table' stanza.

'use-petr disable' and 'use-petr ...' are configured concurrently under the same 'eid-table' stanza.
