Cisco Bug: CSCur88138 - ISE 1.2.1 p2 replication status incorrectly shown as disabled

Last Modified

Jun 09, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) 3300 Series Appliances

Known Affected Releases

1.2(1.202)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Checking the gui replication page, replication shows as stopped.

To check if you are hitting the bug:

1. On Primary PAN and PSN, tail /opt/CSCOcpm/logs/replication.log
2. Perform some admin operation (e.g., create a user) on PAN. This step may be required only if no other activity is going on on PAN.
3. Compare sequence numbers on PAN's log with the ones on the PSN to see if PSN is receiving latest messages

If the messages are received fine, it indicates replication is normal. How fast the messages are received and processed depends on the network and load.

If the messages are being received fine and still replication shows as stopped then you are hitting the bug.

Conditions:
Run 1.2 p2 and check the gui for replication status
