Cisco Bug: CSCur88123 - Invalid PSK for layer 2 security after controller reboot

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

After the controller is rebooted the PSK is no longer valid and clients cannot connect.

If the PSK under layer 2 security for a WLAN is changed form a HEX value to a clear text password in the backup config, and then that config is downloaded to a controller and becomes the running config, the PSK for all WLANs may become invalid.

Hi Cisco TAC,   Our WLCs are on codes now and this bug still hits us every time a controller reboots. Please advise what the permanent solution is. Thank you.
