Cisco Bug: CSCur71951 - WLC Doc - SGT should work from foreign to anchor WLC for SXP at anchor
Sep 12, 2019
- Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers
Known Affected Releases
7.2(103.0) 7.3(101.0) 7.4(100.0) 7.5(102.0) 7.6(100.0) 8.0(100.0)
Symptom: The WLC docs should mention SGT support from foreign to anchor WLC for SXP at anchor. Conditions: The configuration guides of version 8.0 and before state the following: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-0/configuration-guide/b_cg80/b_cg80_chapter_0111100.html#ID4818 "In auto-anchor mobility mode the controller does not update client IP-SGT information through mobility messages. The connected switches of both the controllers must have an SXP connection established between them for IP-SGT mapping updates." This is wrong. The sentence should be changed to the following: "In auto-anchor/guest-anchor mobility the SGT info passed by the RADIUS server to the foreign WLC can be communicated to the anchor WLC via the EoIP/CAPWAP mobility tunnel. The anchor WLC can then build the SGT-IP mapping and communicate it to another peer via SXP."
