Description (partial)

The command default interface does not wipe out the configuration of the interfaces, it must be done a second time in order to fully eliminate all commands.

Another symptom is that having an interface as a L2 interface and then converting to L3 by issuing the no switchport command, the L2 commands like spanning-tree portfast and spanning-tree bpduguard enable remain in the configuration. No affected services since the interface is in L3 mode by having the spanning-tree commands in place.

Tested on 4507 and 4506 devices with version cat4500e-universal.SPA.03.04.00.SG.151-2.SG.bin
