Cisco Bug: CSCur70092 - Post multiple HA switchovers client access vlan goes to limbo state

Last Modified

Nov 26, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

8.1(10.59)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
1. On Primary Active WLC, connect the client and verify the AAA return vlan-name to id attribute. Delete the AP from Flexgroup, the client will receive an IP address from WLAN specific vlan and again mapping the AP back to same/different Flex Group will assign the vlan as per vlanname-id mapping as expected.
2. Do forceful Switchover from primary to standby, repeat the same testing of deleting/adding the Ap from Flexgroup which works fine
3. Repeat the forceful Switchover to Primary again and test a client. Once the AP removed from the Flex group, there is no cleanup seen on Client and it holds the same IP address from AAA return attribute. Basically, the client is not falling back to Wlan specific vlan
4. After this, all the Switchover have the similar issue. The test was done with 5-6 Switchovers.

Conditions:
7500 WLC on HA running 8.1.10.59
