Last Modified

Sep 17, 2019

Products (3)

  • Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch for VMware vSphere
  • Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch
  • Cisco Application Virtual Switch

Known Affected Releases

5.2(1)SV3(1.1) 5.2(1)SV3(1.2)

Description (partial)

1.The port-profile names with the special characters / \ and % are getting represented with ascii equivalents in VCenter server mob unlike other special characters.

2 . Nexus1000v doesn't allow ? to be included in names, as ? character is associated with Help to the user on the VSH console.

Symptom:
Users can't create any new port-profiles with the special characters /,\,? and % in their Dao.1 VSM.

Conditions:
If there are any existing port-profiles (created in previous Nexus 1000V releases) with name containing the following special characters: forward slash (/), backslash (\), percent (%), and question mark (?), user can continue to use them in this release.
