Cisco Bug: CSCur65271 - Debug logs seen on multiple facilities with level set to unusual

Last Modified

Dec 25, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 5000 Series

Known Affected Releases

15.0(1) 15.0(17)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
debug logs are seen in the event log even though the logging severity is not set for debug logs.

Conditions:
Under certain conditions, like enabling session tracing, debug logs are printed in the event log for all the sessions who are added to the session trace list. The problem here is that the logs continue even after session tracing is disabled. Increased logging puts additional load on sessmgr tasks and increased chances of messages bouncing between sessmgr and aaamgr
