Description (partial)

When ASR 903 runs MSTP and peer runs Rapid STP (MSTP is backward compatible with RSTP), we get the following message
Oct 21 18:25:23.930 CET-DST: %SPANTREE-2-PVSTSIM_FAIL: Superior PVST BPDU received on VLAN 1 port Gi0/5/5, claiming root 8192:0004.961e.1ba0. Invoking root guard to block the port
Oct 21 18:25:23.930 CET-DST: %SPANTREE-2-ROOTGUARD_BLOCK: Root guard blocking port GigabitEthernet0/5/5 on MST0.

The ports go in root inconsistency state and STP doesnt converge.

This issue is seen when MST interoperating with RPVSTP.
