Cisco Bug: CSCur64955 - CFM invalid level CCMs taking too long to time out, delay in show cmds
Jan 05, 2017
- Cisco Carrier Routing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: On a Cisco IOS-XR router with Ethernet CFM configuration. When a local MEP is receiving CCMs containing the wrong maintenance domain level from a peer MEP, the following symptoms may be seen: - When CCMs with the wrong level are first received from the peer, a timeout notification may follow shortly (e.g. via SNMP trap or logging), even though CCMs with the wrong level are still being received from the peer - When CCMs stopped being received from the peer, the peer MEP may not be marked as timed out as quickly as it should be. - When querying CFM local or peer MEPs operational state, either by the cli (e.g. <CmdBold>show ethernet cfm local meps<noCmdBold>) or XML, up to a 5 second delay may be seen before results are returned. Conditions: The Symptom is only seen when there is Ethernet CFM configuration, with at least one local MEP configured, the local MEP's CCM processing is offloaded to software/hardware (this can be checked by running <CmdBold>show ethernet cfm local meps detail<noCmdBold>), and the local MEP is receiving wrong level CCMs from at least one peer MEP.
