Cisco Bug: CSCur61382 - NFS storage server completely purged unexpectedly

Last Modified

Feb 23, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco WebEx Meetings Server

Known Affected Releases

2.0.1.407

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In rare circumstances, all subdirectories of the CWMS storage server mount are deleted, including all content of the NFS mount. This means that all recordings, backups, and nfs access checks from before the occurrence of this issue are deleted.

CWMS is not aware that these backups or recordings were deleted, so users will still see their recording links but be unable to access them. They will receive errors when attempting playback or direct download. CWMS will also say that the last backup was successful but it is no longer on the storage server.

Additionally, new recordings will fail as nfskeepalive directory no longer exists.

Conditions:
Unknown, issue occurs rarely
