Cisco Bug: CSCur60805 - DCM reboots after toggling PAT tables and PSIP EIT/ETTs are generated
Dec 31, 2016
- Cisco Digital Content Manager (DCM) Software
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: DCM becomes unresponsive and reboots after a while during toggling PAT tables on its inputs. In case the DCM is part of a 1-1 device backup configuration, it is possible that both DCM will be streaming for some time Conditions: When for multiple services PSIP EIT/ETTs are generated for the full 16 days and these services are toggling on the input (i.e. services toggle between present/ not present in PAT), then the output board CPU load rises to 100%. After a while this will cause the DCM to become not responsive and ultimately cause a reboot of the DCM. The exact time after which the DCM will reboot is depending on the number of services that generate those EIT/ETTs and the number of changing PAT tables. For e.g. 2 such services this is after about 10 to 15 minutes depending also on the normal CPU load that the DCM has during normal operation.
