Description (partial)

Symptom:
User viewing interface statistics for an affected IPS sensor device via CLI, IDM, IME, etc. observes that the following counter values (statistics) are incorrect, not incrementing and may be the same for multiple affected interfaces:

 Total Packets Received = 9220
 Total Bytes Received = 268431872
Total Broadcast Packets Received = 192
Total Jumbo Packets Received = 9220
Total Undersize Packets Received = 4294951112
 Total Receive Errors = 4294960132
 Total Packets Transmitted = 0
 Total Bytes Transmitted = 0

IDM and IME refer to two (2) of these same values as "Received Packets" and "Transmitted Packets" (corresponding to "Total Packets Received" and "Total Packets Transmitted", respectively).

Other affected interface counters/statistics may also be incorrect.

Conditions:
IPS 4500-series model sensor appliance (such as the IPS-4510 or IPS-4520) running an affected version of software.

At the time of this writing, this issue has been observed with TenGigabitEthernet sensing interfaces configured in either Inline mode or Inline VLAN pair mode.
