Known Affected Releases

4.5(1.45)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Prior to MCU 4.5 it was possible to use a SIP URI of the form -
firstname:lastname@cisco.com

As of MCU 4.5, the behaviour has been changed to escape this 'reserved' colon character to ASCII '%3A' before being sent-
firstname%3Alastname@cisco.com

Depending on call routing plans, it is possible that this escaped sequence will not be detected and calls to devices with colon characters will fail.

Conditions:
*MCU 4.5
*Dialling a SIP or SIPS URI with a username contains a colon (:)
