Cisco Bug: CSCur44059 - PGW continuing the call even if no Gx is sent for RAT-CHANGE
Dec 26, 2016
- Cisco ASR 5000 Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: In certain scenarios, PGW cannot send out CCR-U to PCRF ( due to an internal backpressure scenario) and even after multiple retries, PGW continues the call. This can result in PCRF and PGW to go out-of-sync and can affect VoLTE calls. Conditions: When PGW cannot send out CCR-U due to backpressure even after multiple retries (a maximum of 10 times) indicates the network between PGW and PCRF is congested or the PCRF is slow in responding. These conditions result in PGW continuing the call without PCRF involvement. This could result in call failures in VoLTE scenarios.
