Description (partial)

CSM (Cisco Security Manager) does not (at the time of this writing) support managing/configuring IPS sensor devices' login-banner-text value. If users wish to configure this value they must do so via an out-of-band method (device CLI, IDM, etc.).

CSM does recognize if this value changes (out-of-band) on a managed IPS device and produces a warning during the first CSM deployment to the device(s) after the change. CSM does not overwrite the changed value and subsequent deployments succeed without warning (unless the value is later changed again (out-of-band), then the cycle repeats).

Using an affected version of CSM (Cisco Security Manager) to manage/configure an IPS sensor device(s).
