Cisco Bug: CSCur40314 - UCS Manager B-series troubleshooting guide incorrect on drive replace

Last Modified

May 08, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Computing System

Known Affected Releases

2.2(3b)A

Description (partial)

Symptom:
UCS Manager B-series troubleshooting guide>Troubleshooting Server hardware issues>Replacing a Failed Drive in a RAID Cluster is incorrect. Looks like the procedure for Moving a RAID Cluster Using UCS Software Version 1.4(1) was copied into this procedure.
Shouldn't hard drives be hot plugable and not require remote KVM/Monitor set up and server reboot to replace?

Conditions:
Drive replacement on B-Series server required.
