Cisco Bug: CSCur39124 - Import of config saved with FCS image could trigger downgrade
Mar 24, 2018
- Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Switches could get downgraded to 1.0(1x) version if you imported configuration consisting of firmware policy with desired version set to 1.0(1x) Conditions: Following steps would lead to the problem Step1: You are running 1.0(1x) image. You have firmware policy with desired version set to 1.0(1x) image. You exported configs (which includes the firmware policy with desired version set to 1.0(1x)) Step2: You are now running 1.0(2x) image. Now you import the config exported in step1. Step3: If you had a schedule(when to upgrade) in the imported config, then switches will be upgraded to 1.0(1x) version at the time of schedule. Even if you do not have a schedule, then desired version takes effect on next reboot of switch/es.
