Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
With SSL Jabber is unable to auto-update from version 9 Jabber to 10. If the installed version is 10.5.0 and are upgrading to any later 10.5.X versions update over SSL works fine.
Without SSL auto-update works from any version to any later versions of Jabber.

Conditions:
Steps to Reproduce the issue.

-Use the following jabber-update.xml file hosted on the web server.
<JabberUpdate>
<App name="JabberWin">
 <LatestBuildNum>43318</LatestBuildNum>
 <LatestVersion>10.5.1</LatestVersion>
 <Message>Dear Jabber user, Jabber 10.5.1 is now available. Please update! This new version of Cisco Jabber lets you do the following:

P2P Desktop Sharing

Hunt-Group

Call Pickup

Group Call Pickup

Other Group Pickup

... and more

For more information click here.</Message>
 <DownloadURL>https://cisco.com/jabber-update/CiscoJabberSetup.msi</DownloadURL>
</App>
</JabberUpdate>

- Keep version 10 jabber .msi on auto-update server. We will upgrade from version 9 Jabber to 10.
-With exactly the same xml files, auto-update works over http no matter what is the installed client version. It's also working over https if the certificate in place on the auto-update server is a self-signed certificate.
- If the installed client is 10.5.0 and upgrading to 10.5.1, then the issue doesn't show up for a self-signed certificate or CA signed web server certificate -->
