Cisco Bug: CSCur36318 - Have SX80 add HDMI audio 1 and 2 to the input gate when audio is enabled

Last Modified

Aug 15, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Telepresence Integrator C Series

Known Affected Releases

7.1.4

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Currently the Cisco TelePresence SX80 codec does not support HDMI 1 or 2 audio by default when the HDMI audio for inputs 1 or 2 is enabled, requiring the user to also upon each session either manually enter into the command line admin session (as an example):

xCommand Audio LocalInput AddConnector ConnectorId:1 ConnectorType:HDMI InputId: 4
xCommand Audio LocalInput AddConnector ConnectorId:2 ConnectorType:HDMI InputId: 4

or use TC console to enter these commands for them upon each boot of the codec. This procedure is also not documented in the SX80 Administrator Guide at http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/sx-series/tc7/administration-guide/sx80-administrator-guide-tc72.pdf

Conditions:
These commands need to be entered every time the SX80 is booted in order for HDMI audio on inputs 1 or 2 to work as expected. HDMI 3 audio input works by default.

SX80 HDMI 2 output not enabled even when on
Hello, I have an sx80 that is currently on 7.3.3 code and it is not outputting any audio via hdmi 2.  I did all the standard troubleshooting swapping cables moving over to hdmi 1 etc.  I have confirmed all is working via hdmi but not hdmi 1 on multiple systems. When using TC console you can see the port being activated and deactivated when we change the setting but nothing happens.  once we added the connector  xCommand Audio LocalOutput AddConnector OutputId:5 ConnectorType:"HDMI" ConnectorId:2 ...
