Last Modified

Jan 16, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

5.2.1.CE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The current MAP-T implementation in ASR9K is not as per the specs.

With the current implementation specifying the following configuration:

  sharing-ratio 2
  contiguous-ports 32768

only allows traffic from source ports upto 32K in the IPv6 to IPv4 direction.

If the configuration is changed to:

  sharing-ratio 1
  contiguous-ports 65536

all the traffic in IPv6 to IPv4 direction starts dropping with the MDF_OPEN_NETWORK_SERVICE_SANITY_CHECK_FAIL counter incrementing on the np.
