Cisco Bug: CSCur34350 - Removing controller removes AP from Maps.

Last Modified

Sep 11, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure

Known Affected Releases

2.1(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Removal of WLC from Prime Infrastructure 2.1.1 also removes AP placement from Maps.

Conditions:
As part of enhancement feature included in Prime Infrastructure 2.1.1 , removal of WLC from Prime Infrastructure also removes AP's from maps. This is acceptable if you are completely removing WLC from Prime Infrastructure, but from troubleshooting standpoint it doesn't scale well cause you are going to add back the controller and would expect your maps to unaltered.

There needs to be a option which gives you option to retain the AP placement on Maps when you delete a controller.
