Last Modified

Aug 07, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

5.1.4.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
TE tunnel never comes up due to routing loop. Depending on the midpoint implementation (the node which notices the routing loop)the head-end may receive a PATH ERR or be in RSVP signalling proceeding for the tunnel

Conditions:

The tunnel is using a loose hop. The shortest path between the loose hop and destination is going through one of the tunnel's hops between the head-end and the loose hop (routing loop)
