Cisco Bug: CSCur25566 - Tracebacks in log during BFD debugs on SCI

Last Modified

Apr 20, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco uBR10000 Series Universal Broadband Routers

Known Affected Releases

12.2(33)SCH2

Description (partial)

Symptom:
While testing BFD on our CMTS and debugging BFD events and BFD packets, we noticed tracebacks in the logs similar to the following:

293333: .Oct 9 08:14:43.634: -Traceback= 1042A1B4 10436174 10436230 10435A8C 10436928 10436A28 1042B038 10427E6C F1477C8 F13C5A0

These are expected tracebacks, but are not labeled as such in the logs. We are requesting that they be labeled as intentional tracebacks similar to what is done with source-verify debugs.

Note: CDETS does not have a selection for 12.2(33)SCI code, but that is the code this is being tested on.

Conditions:
BFD configured and BFD events and BFD packets are being debugged. Shutting down the backhaul link on either the CMTS or the end device will trigger the tracebacks. These tracebacks are expected, but are not labeled as expeceted tracebacks in the log.

Note: CDETS does not have a selection for 12.2(33)SCI code, but that is the code this is being tested on.
